With her son Patrick, Susan competed on "The Amazing Race 7" in Spring of 2005 as half of the first mother/son team to ever compete on the CBS show. Susan has been married to her husband, John, for 36 years and, in addition to their son, has a daughter, Lizz, and two grandchildren, Gabe and Lily. Susan and her family make their home in the southwestern Ohio city of Hamilton, just north of Cincinnati (Patrick, however, lives in Venice, California). She has been employed by Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, since 1986, and presently is the Director of the Office of Ethics and Student Conflict Resolution. She holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from Miami University in Political Science and Sociology, and is active in judicial affairs organizations throughout the country. She also serves as CCD for the Alpha Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority at Miami.
